What you need prior to installation.
  1. Act! Premium
    If push permission is enabled for current user
  2. Sage 50 US installed
  3. Sage 50 US company database name and server path to database

What you need for installation.

  1. DataPlus for Sage 50 US
  2. FILE: DataPlus-Sage50US-Install.exe

DataPlus Sage 50 US Client Installation
    Welcome Screen
  1. Double click DataPlus-Sage50US-Install.exe
  2. This will start the DataPlus 4.0 setup wizard.
  3. Click on Next >
    License Agreement
  1. License Agreement
  2. If you agree, click on "I accept the terms in the license agreement"
  3. Click on Next >
    Client Components
  1. Check "Client Components"

    If Sage 50 is not installed, or the DataPlus push is not needed, then

  2. Uncheck "Sage 50 US Component"
  3. Uncheck "PawCom2"
  4. Click on Next >
    Choose Install Location
  1. Destination Folder
  2. Browse to the location Act! was installed
    Installing
    PawCom2 Installation
  1. Click on Next >
    PawCom2 Install Location
  1. Click on Next >
    PawCom2 License Agreement
  1. If you agree, click on "I accept the terms in the license agreement"
  2. Click on Next >
    PawCom2 Customer Information
  1. User Name: Your user name
  2. Organization: Your organization
  3. Click on Next >
    PawCom2 Installing
    PawCom2 Wizard Completed
  1. Click on Finish
    Installation Complete
  1. Click on Next >
    Completing Setup Wizard
  1. Check Run Client Configuration
  2. Click on Finish
    Client Configuration Manager
    Master Connection Settings
    Database Configuration
  1. DataPlus Server:
  2. DataPlus Database:
  3. SQL User:
  4. SQL Password:
  5. CHECK for Integrated Security
  6. Test Connection
  7. Click on OK

    Application Settings

  8. Report Path: unc Path to CR Reports
  9. Logging Options:
  10. unCHECK Log Warnings
  11. unCHECK Log Notices
  12. unCHECK Log Debugs
  13. Click on Save
  14. Click on Close

DataPlus Sage 50 US Client Activation
    DataPlus Activation
  1. Start
  2. All Programs/Hogan Data/DataPlus 4.0
  3. Right click DataPlus 4.0 Activation
    We highly recommend activating as "Domain Administrator" or "Local Administrator".

  1. Run as administrator preferably the domain administrator
    or
  2. Run as different user preferably the domain administrator
    DataPlus Activation
  1. Click Next
    DataPlus Activation
  1. Copy your serial code from your "Client Portal"
  2. Click Paste Serial
  3. Click Next

  1. Connecting to the DataPlus registration service
    DataPlus Activation
  1. Click Finish

    Enable DataPlus
  1. Open Act!
  2. Act ToolBar
  3. Tools/DataPlus 4.0 Enable DataPlus
  4. Tools/DataPlus 4.0 Disable DataPlus
