PROGRAM: DataPlus for Microsoft Dynamics GP - Client Installation
What you need prior to installation.
  1. SQL Server security roles setup
  2. Understanding roles in SQL Server security
    - Database-Level Roles msdn
    - Security TechRepublic
  3. ACT! Prem 2013 (for DataPlus 4.0)
    - Installed on server or workstation
    - ACT! Database configured
    - Note: DataPlus ACT! database should be downloaded and restored.
  4. ACT! Prem 2012, 2011, 2010 (for DataPlus 3.0)
    - Installed on server or workstation
    - ACT! Database configured
    - Note: DataPlus ACT! database should be downloaded and restored.
  5. SQL Permission to DataPlus SQL database
What you need for installation.
  1. FILE: DataPlus-MDGP-Install.exe
Approximant Time Table
  • 5 minutes - Documentation Review
  • 2 minutes - Approximant Time for Client Installation
  • 2 minutes - Approximant Time for Client Configuration
  • 9 minutes - Total Approximant Time for Client Installation & Configuration

DataPlus Client Installation
    Welcome Screen
  1. Double click 'DataPlus-EA-Install.exe'
  2. Click on Next >
    License Agreement
  1. If you agree, click on "I accept the terms in the license agreement"
  2. Click on Next >
    Choose Components
    Client Components
  1. Check DataPlus Client
  2. Check MDGP Client
  3. Click on Next >
    Choose Location
  1. Choose the folder in which to install DataPlus 3.0
  2. Click on Install
    Installing
    DataPlus Installer Finished
  1. Click on Finish

DataPlus Setup and Configuration
    Client Configuration
  1. CHECK to run Client Configuration
  2. Click on Finish
    Client Configuration Manager

    Database Configuration

  1. Server Name: ServerName\Instance SQL Instance if applicable
  2. Database Name: Database DataPlus database name
  3. User: sa SQL or Windows user name
  4. Password: password user name password
  5. Check if you want integrated security
    - Note: This configuration should be the same as configuration established on server, unless further security is necessary.
  6. Close
