PROGRAM: dpQWSync for e-automate - Server Install

What you need prior to installation.
  1. Compatible MS SQL Versions - SQL Standard or SQL Express
    - SQL 2016
    - SQL 2014
    - SQL 2012
    - SQL 2008
  2. SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  3. SQL Security - User Logins
    - Windows Login Options (use either type)
    - - Type: Windows User
    - - Type: Windows Group
    Use existing windows/active directory group or create new windows/active group and add users to group. Example: DataPlus
  4. e-automate Note: dpQWSync must be installed on same SQL instance that e-automate is installed on.
  5. QuoteWerks Installed (QuoteWerks provides a "User Manual" with installation.
  6. QuoteWerks Rehosted Note: QuoteWerks SQL database must be installed on same SQL instance that e-automate is installed on.

What you need for installation.
  1. FILE: Downloaded installer "DataPlus-QWSync-Install.exe" from Hogan Data Client Portal

  1. Execute DataPlus-QWSync-Install.exe Note: Right click file and "Run as administrator"
  2. Click on Next >
    License Agreement
  1. If you agree, click on "I Agree"
  2. Click on Next >
    Choose Components

    Server

  1. Check Server Components
    - QW EA Sync
    - QW EA Database

    Client & Server

  2. Check Client Components
    - QW EA Quote
  3. Check Server Components
    - QW EA Sync
    - QW EA Database
  4. Click on Next >
If QuoteWerks "IS NOT" installed on server.

If QuoteWerks "IS" installed on server.

    Choose Install Location
  1. Choose the folder in which to install dpQWSync
  2. Click on Install

    DataPlus Credentials
    Server Settings
  1. Server Name: ServerName\SQLInstance SQL Instance if applicable
  2. Database Name: CoDataPlus replace "DataPlus" with your e-automate database name without Co
  3. Click on Next >
    QuoteWerks Credentials
    QuoteWerks Server Settings
  1. Server Name: ServerName\SQLInstance default from previous entry
  2. QuoteWerks Database: qwDataPlus actual full QuoteWerks database name
  3. Click on Next >
    Database Create
    Database Not Found
  1. Click on Yes
    Installation Complete
  1. Click on Finish
    Installation Complete
  1. Click on Close

dpQWSync Activation
    Activation
  1. Window's Start/Program Files/Hogan Data/DataPlus 4.0/QWSync Activation
  2. Next
    Enter Serial Number
  1. Copy license key string
  2. Click Paste Serial
  3. Click Next
    Application Complete
  1. Copy license key string
  2. Click Finish

    QW\EA - Sync Configuration
  1. Window's Start/Program Files/Hogan Data/DataPlus 4.0/QWSync Configuration

  2. Default setting from prior setup

  3. User: sa SQL or Windows user name
  4. Password: password user name password

  5. Check Integrated Security

    Misc Settings

  6. Sync EA Contacts: Check if you want to sync e-automate customer contact to QuoteWerks
  7. Timeout: 5 change time if needed
  8. Optional: Click on More >>

  1. Optional: Only Active: UnCheck
  2. Optional: Include Imported: UnCheck

    Inventory Item Settings

  3. Optional: Click Edit Line-Item Mappings
  4. Edit Line-Item Mappings
    QW/EA Sync - Sync Configuration

  1. Save All
  2. Close

QW\EA - Contact Sync Configuration
    Sync EA Contacts
  1. Check Sync EA Contacts
  2. Click on Save
  3. Close

If "Sync EA Contacts" is checked, the sync will update the contacts in QuoteWerks from e-automate .

  1. Open QuoteWerks and create new quote
  2. From toolbar click on Contacts
  3. Click on Edit
  4. Choose contact
    Edit Contact / Account
  5. ID: = QW ID
    [dbo].[PrimaryContacts].[ID]
  6. Account Number: = EA Customer Number
  7. Accounting Cust ID: = EA ContactID
    [dbo].[ARCustomers].[CustomerID]
    eautomate push
  8. Accounting Cust ID field is used to push quote to EA.

dpQWSync - e-automate & QuoteWerks Sync
    QWProductSync.exe
    32bit Machine
  1. In Windows Explorer, Browse to C:\Program Files\Hogan Data\dpQWSync Server

    64bit Machine

  2. In Windows Explorer, Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Hogan Data\dpQWSync Server

  3. Open Microsoft Task Scheduler
  4. Create scheduled task to run the Sync-QWS (TSD-64BIT).bat batch file

Schedule the task to run in the evening. This will update QuoteWerks with the inventory items in e-automate.

If "Sync EA Contacts" is checked, the sync will update the contacts in QuoteWerks from e-automate .
